The 98 custom is amazing, but for the price you could almost get a flatline barrel instead. A 21" barrel is useless, anything over 14" will increase friction and not accuracy, while increasing the the chances you will be seen due to the impractical size. If you want range and and accuracy go with the flatline. The remote is bound to get caught on things, I have seen it happen. If you want the true altimate sniper package, get a tippmann 98 custom with a flateline barrel, it is smaller and more effective.

The gun is great, the barrel isn'tJun 03, 2005
As I said the gun is a wonderful thing; however th 21inch barrel is very overated. It makes your gun way too front heavy and is not worth the money. This barrel also offers no extra distance and no noticable increase in accuracy. I feel as if I wasted my time and money on this barrel. If you are looking for a great barrel then go with the flatline. For the extra money it really is the most "bang" for your buck. Despite the barrel's flaws this package does of the Tippmann 98 Custom is one of the best beginner's guns. It is inexpensive and you could run over it with a tank and it would still shoot the same as if it was the first day you bought it.

The Model 98's a pretty rugged marker, and this barrel is a great improvement on the stock version. I also like the sight (believe it or not, it really is useful!).
All in all, this is a very good price for the entire package!
